Recent reports indicate that the Notes taking feature, initially expected to debut in Android 16, but now we spotted that it will be available in Android 15 also.

we've enabled it in Android 15 QPR 1 , the Android 16 DP 2 update, Google Keep is preinstalled and has the Notes role enabled by default, allowing users to take advantage of enhanced note-taking capabilities.

This feature enables users to open Google Keep in a floating window using the tail key on a stylus and create new notes directly from the lock screen via a shortcut. Previously, the Notes role was disabled by default and could only be activated through developer options.

With its activation in Android 15 QPR1, users will be seamlessly integrate note-taking into their daily tasks. While Google Keep will support this functionality, a full rollout is still pending, and users may encounter a "coming soon" message within the app. This development enhances the overall note-taking experience for Android users.
